Search results mix two different objects. I split them the way the night guides do, because buying the wrong “clock” will not save a shift that has already gone bad.

I would not buy a Shop Clock to escape a Giant beam or a shutter warning that is already on screen. The same wiki that describes the skip also says it has not been shown to cancel an event in progress.
Whether you can buy it more than once per day is also unconfirmed. If the card in your shop shows a price, that number beats anything on this page. Send it to the contact address and I will add it with the date.
