Where Is the Key in Sell Fries?

The official tag list on the game includes “Find The Key”, so the key is not a rumor. The hiding spot itself is not in the Roblox description. Every placement below comes from October guides, and I say when they only observed it.

AllThingsHow quotes an objective that places the key inside a potato. Its walkthrough places the pile outside your shop. sellfries.org describes one solo run taking about two hours, while sellfries-wiki.wiki records an entity handing over a key on day 7. These are source-specific observations, not a guaranteed spawn day, timer, or independent test of both routes.

A second way is described in the money guide: a drive-thru customer hands over a golden key in a short scene. Another wiki says an entity hands it over on day 7. I cannot tell if those are the same event.

After you have it

  1. Follow the on-screen marker.
  2. Find the basement door whose prompt reads “Basement Needs a key!”
  3. Open the lock and jump in. Guides say that jump ends the run.
  4. The win screen they describe says YOU WIN! and pays 100 Gems.

Ways guides speed up the pile

  • Vacuum, listed at $1,000 for capacity 8.
  • Potato robots, listed at $1,000, once you can afford them.
  • Flamethrower: burned potatoes are said to convert straight to cash, and the key is easier to force out. I do not have a confirmed price for the flamethrower.
Still open. I have no source that proves the key can only be in a potato, or that co-op players share one key. The cellar past the hatch is explicitly unrecorded in the route wiki I read.
